Mary Munsterteiger joined Roger Fazendin Realtors five years ago. She always wanted to be a real estate agent. She worked for many years as a clinical lab scientist and she always thought, well maybe I could work at a real estate company on the weekends. She’s glad she made the move to real estate agent and she absolutely loves the atmosphere at Roger Fazendin Realtors. She enjoys working with both people and houses.
Born in Buffalo, MN, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, and a long-time resident of Plymouth, Mary is surprised that she is doing something different from lab work. It’s been such a good change. Her favorite part of the business is the people she meets and the people she gets to work with. “While you are finding houses for people, it’s more about the people than it is the houses,” says Mary. The first section of the paper that Mary reads each day is the business section. She always thought about starting her own small business and this is a good field to start a business in, especially with Roger Fazendin and the support that they provide. Mary is a good negotiator and not afraid to solve problems – two good traits for a Realtor. If she had a least favorite part it would be measuring houses, but as she says Fazendin is such a team environment, that she can go to any agent to help her with that task.
The mother of three adult daughters, who happen to live in really nice places to visit; San Francisco, Hawaii and Kansas, is one of her biggest joys! She also has two granddaughters ages 2 and 4 that she loves to spend time with. In her freetime, Mary likes to read, work out and travel. She also volunteers a few times a month at a school in north Minneapolis helping students with their reading.
“It is a good time to buy or sell,” says Mary. “The market is good, the rates are great, the market hasn’t really slowed down at all this season, and listings are low making it a good time for sellers and buyers.” She enjoys helping people with a variety of situations like first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, but she is partial to empty nesters, probably because she has recently down-sized herself. She lived in a large two story executive home in Plymouth and moved to a townhouse in Plymouth. She knows how much work it is, but once you do it you feel such a feeling of accomplishment and it’s good to simplify! She actually moved two times, once to a rental and the second time to the townhome! Mary can empathize with anyone making a move.
Mary is truly devoted to her business. You can find her in the office everyday working on something for her clients. You’ll often find Mary’s photo with a photo of a tiger – she doesn’t want someone to not approach her because they can’t say her name – she wants to make it easy for you – whether it’s how to say her name, how to prepare your house to sell, or areas of interest for buyers. Contact Mary today and let her make your next real estate transaction easy!
