To sit down and visit with Tom Miller, you realize at once what a genuine, friendly, personable guy he is. Tom had been considering becoming a real estate agent for over six years. Of course, he thought of things about the career that impressed him like working with people and flexibility. But he has discovered that he really likes homes, he enjoys the selling and buying process, he wants to help clients find the right fit and assist in helping buyers and sellers fix up their homes.
Tom’s former career was as a Golf Professional at Braemar GC in Edina where he spent most of his time teaching golf lessons. He held this position for about ten years and here he loved working with people and helping them – very similar to being a Realtor. After this, he worked as a landscape designer / project manager for an upscale residential landscape firm for ten years. In this role, he assisted people to better their lives through outdoor living. He got to know his clients and their preferences. He would customize expansions to fit their lifestyle. His work won awards and he loved seeing the satisfaction as projects were completed. Again, very similar to being a Realtor. Truly he has been preparing for this career for years!
Realtors® Jerry and Marla Jean Alstead started talking to him about joining Fazendin. With their over 26 years of experience, they were willing to offer support and guidance. He met with Broker/Owner Andy Fazendin and he knew immediately this was where he should put his residential real estate license. He can’t say enough about the group of agents, the knowledge, the sharing, the assistance with marketing, the continuing education classes, the list goes on and on. He says he is not on an island doing this – he has the immediate help of a team and that has helped him to already see great results!
He enjoys every facet of the home selling and buying process. Even the closing table can and should be fun! His wife and two children are 100% supportive. They enjoy that his office is close to home. Even his parents said that the position of Realtor is a great fit for Tom!
Tom is super easy to connect with and he has many connections throughout the Twin Cities metro area. He is a 1993 graduate of Edina High School where he played hockey, baseball and golf. After attending college in Texas for a year, he moved back to Minnesota to continue his education, which included general studies at Normandale CC, Golf Facilities Management courses at Anoka Hennepin Tech, and many hours of training to get through the PGA’s Golf Professional Training Program. He has lived in Texas and Arizona and likes that he can assist friends, family and clients with moves all over the United States and World through Fazendin’s affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. When not helping clients with homes, you may find him in a hockey arena coaching, on a soccer field supporting his children or a golf course! The point is you should find Tom and connect with him, especially if you are thinking about making a move soon. Whether upsizing, downsizing, or relocating Tom is ready and able to be your Realtor®.
