Recently our very own Relocation Director, Shannon Brown was asked to do a guest contribution to Mobility Magazine. This is a highly read magazine within the relocation industry. Shannon reviewed a novel called Presence, an inward thinking, self powering book by acclaimed author, Amy Cuddy.
Shannon Starts by explaining the premise behind the story, inner personal power:
Feeling powerful versus feeling powerless impacts productivity. Research has proven that feelings of powerlessness and anxiety undermine a human’s executive functions-defined as high-order cognitive tools such as reasoning, task flexibility, working memory and attention control. On the flip side, research has also proven that when we fell powerful, we are less self -conscious, we become proactive, and we keep a more balanced emotional state.
