On April 28, 2017, the Minnesota Employee Relocation Council hosted their 33rd annual conference. The conference is a full day event that pulls together relocation industry experts from within and outside our region to learn, network and have a good time. This year’s conference, titled Modern Mobility, featured topics from gaps in the generational workforce to tips on how to interact with suppliers and business partners.
Not only was I a participant at the conference, but I was also lucky enough to be on the conference planning committee for this well respected event. As I reflect back on the planning process and the day’s events, I am really impressed with the group that dedicated themselves to the volunteer positions necessary to deliver a conference of this caliber. We had a committee of 9 people who planned and organized the conference, we had roughly a dozen speakers who prepared content and shared their expertise and we had over 20 sponsors who helped fund the cost of the event. Time and time again, our experts come through to show their commitment to our industry, our partnerships and our customers. The dedication of the team that helped deliver this conference is a direct reflection of our industry and the type of people we are as a group! We make things happen in a smooth, seamless and positive way to ensure that we deliver valuable services and make the lives of those around us better. I am proud to be a part of MERC.
Great job to all those involved in the Minnesota Employee Relocation Council conference. The 2017 conference was a fantastic event filled with lots of learning! For more information on the event, you can visit the MERC website, here.
