This is eleventh in a series of 50 posts we are putting out throughout the years in anticipation of the celebration of our 50th Anniversary in 2015. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for the top things YOU love about Minnesota as well!
Eight years ago in January, I was showing houses to out of town buyers. On our 4th day of house hunting the temperatures went from mid 30s to a 20 below wind chill. My buyers cancelled our last showing of the day, a house I had scheduled on Edinburgh USA Golf Course. They decided they couldn’t live in this climate. I was intrigued enough by this house we didn’t get to see, to make an appointment to see it a week later. The house was vacant and dated, but the Realtor listing it had amazing summer pictures. I was motivated enough by them to write an offer for myself!
Now sitting on my deck in the summer overlooking the 18th fairway, watching gorgeous sunsets, or being entertained by some golfer trying to hit out of the bunkers, I feel like I am on vacation. The changing seasons offer such incredible beauty. We love living here and have made the most wonderful friends in this community. This is what Minnesota is all about. Great people, lots of things to do and enjoy, nature, beauty and opportunities to create life long memories.
