The listing of a status can change based on the activity that is going on for that listing. Here’s a simple guide of what the most common listing status’ are.
Active – A listing (home) that is not under contract and is available to be seen.
Contingent – When a home is sold “contingent” it is under contract, but not a firm sale because there is some contingency that has yet to be fully resolved between the seller and buyer.
Pending – A home is pending when a buyer has presented a contract to purchase the home, which the seller has accepted, and all contingencies have been satisfied, so the home is under contact but not yet closed.
TNAS – This stands for Temporarily Not Available for Sale. Sellers have the right to instruct their listing agent to temporarily remove their home from the market. They may do this for a number of reasons.
