During this holiday time, there are so many things to do – shopping, wrapping, baking, cards, the list is endless on top of our already full lives. But when we stop and truly reflect on the purpose of this season, we start to think of ways we can serve and help others. This is true at Roger Fazendin REALTORS®. All year long our agents are happy to help their clients and our staff is happy to help the agents, but during December we turn the tables a little and help others.
During the month, we collected food for the local food shelf IOCP and delivered 234 pounds. We also collected Toys for Tots and we gave one another gifts that we might have liked as a child, all with the intent to bring these to KARE-11 and their Toys for Tots drop off. We were able to bring well over 100 toys, plus cash and gift cards. We also volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army one afternoon. There were many groups of agents and staff taking shifts. People were so generous. We were notified that the location we rang at raised $957.53 that day. Everyone doing just a little makes for a huge impact. In our office, we also participated in an event called A Dollar a Day for Baby Ray, a hands-on activity for a little boy fighting brain cancer. We were able to double our goal just by people sharing the story and bless this family with a little extra help during a challenging time.
At Roger Fazendin REALTORS® we are a part of the community and want to be present in the community. Serving in these special ways is one of the best gifts we can give!
