Rebecca Brandt joined the Roger Fazendin REALTORS® family in September of 2009. She is our January, 2014 Agent of the Month. We had a chance to sit down and talk with Rebecca about her success and the market.
Rebecca – how did you get to be the agent of the month in January? With all the snow and cold outside how did you sell houses? Rebecca shared that it’s often about timing. One client she had been working with since May and a transaction finally came together, another transaction an offer had come in and it just took time to get things negotiated and work through the details. All things just came together in January and she has happy clients and she is honored to be the first Agent of the Month for 2014!
There are so many facets to being a REALTOR® – what is your favorite part Rebecca? First she says, I love helping people whether it’s finding their new home or helping them get their home listed and sold – it’s about service to my clients. I truly enjoy building relationships with the people that I get to serve. There is also a personal satisfaction in knowing that I am doing a great job for my clients. And I truly enjoy the journey – it is a process with challenges and excitement, and it always works out.
Why did you decide that Roger Fazendin REALTORS® was the brokerage for you? Family, friendship and support was an easy answer for Rebecca. Everyone here helps one another – we cheer for one another and celebrate the success and encourage the challenges.
Rebecca said about the 2014 market that she feels it’s going to be another fabulous year for sellers. This is the most optimistic she has been about the market and the business since she started. We challenged her by asking her about people wanting to sell and then buy. People keep saying it’s a good time to sell, that inventory is low and prices are going up, but what if you also need to buy a home. How am I going to find something that works for my family in this market? Rebecca shared that there are options. For example, you can go ahead and close on the home you are selling, but then rent back from the new owners for a specified period of time and continue to look for a home to buy. She also recently had a buyer that was able to purchase a home that wasn’t even on the market. Sometimes being creative and thinking outside of the box is beneficial. Rebecca loves being a problem solver and helping everyone to win. Maybe that is truly the reason she is our current agent of the month!
Rebecca said that her children are very proud of her work. Every time she goes to show a house or to a listing appointment, her children wish her good luck! We are proud to have Rebecca as a member of our team too!
