It is a season of giving and Roger Fazendin REALTORS® tries to help in a variety of ways all year long. During the Christmas season, we look for ways to make it is easy for everyone in our company to share and participate.
At our Annual Wreath Party, held the first Saturday of December each year, we invite our clients to come for cookies, coffee, punch, entertainment and to share. People attending are encouraged to bring food for the food shelf and Toys for Tots. We are always amazed at the outpouring of support. It’s a simple invitation to help, but everyone always responds so positively. We are able to deliver several hundred pounds of food to Interfaith Outreach Community Partners (IOCP) and lots of toys to Toys for Tots.
We expand on the giving of toys by drawing names for one another in the office. We try to purchase a toy for the person’s name that you drew, a toy they might have liked as a child. The toys come to the office wrapped and then we open them together and find out who shopped for our toy gift and what they purchased. It always brings lots of laughter and comments of “that’s perfect”! We combine these toys with the toys brought by our clients and are honored to bring them to the Toys for Tots tent at KARE 11 and share on the local news. We have been doing this for as long as we can remember!
Three years ago we started a new venture and this is ringing a bell at a Salvation Army kettle. We volunteer for a four shift and as they say many hands make light work. Three or four at a time staff the kettle, ring, sing, dance and share good cheer with those entering Byerly’s at Ridgedale. We participated this year on Thursday, December 12 from 2-6 pm – thankfully for us it was not the coldest day we’ve had this winter!
Giving at Roger Fazendin is encouraged year round and many of our agents and staff volunteer in their community and churches and serve on various boards. There are so many good causes to give to and as a company we select a handful that we have a passion for and that will help to better our local community. We are thankful for all our blessings and it is a privilege to share!
